At the heart of the van is a fixed bed, removing the daily hassle of converting seating into sleeping space. The bed is flanked by fibreglass bed flares, creating extra width and a noticeably more comfortable sleeping environment. Beneath the bed, generous under-bed storage keeps bulky gear tucked away, while all-around overhead cupboards ensure everyday essentials are always within easy reach.

Storage is often the biggest concern in a compact campervan, and this is where the Mid Wheel Base truly shines. Overhead lockers wrap the interior, providing surprising capacity without encroaching on headroom. A dedicated wardrobe space with shelving allows clothes to stay organised rather than stuffed into bags. There’s even a wine rack, because good design should always leave room for the finer things.

The fibreglass ensuite shower and toilet is neatly integrated into the layout, delivering comfort and privacy without dominating the van. A slide-out Loo Seal toilet, bathroom LED lighting, and extraction fan make the space practical and pleasant to use. Matte black tapware ties the bathroom into the rest of the van’s modern aesthetic, creating a cohesive, high-end feel throughout.
A Social Space That Adapts
Up front, the cab transforms seamlessly into a welcoming living and dining area. Swivel front seats rotate to face the interior, instantly expanding your usable space. The Lagun swivel table, paired with two table mount options, allows you to adapt the layout depending on how you’re using the van. Morning coffee for one, laptop work session, or dinner with a travel partner, it all works without fuss.
A Kitchen That Punches Above Its Weight
The kitchen setup is proof that compact doesn’t mean compromised. You’ll find a 2-burner induction cooktop, a deep internal stainless sink, and a clean sink cutout worktop that’s both practical and easy to maintain. Food storage is covered with a Bushman 130L fridge/freezer, supported by an additional Bushman 40L drawer fridge/freezer for drinks or overflow supplies.
For quick meals or reheating on the go, the NCE microwave is neatly integrated, while the Dometic FreshJet Lite air conditioner keeps the interior comfortable no matter the climate.
Off-Grid Confidence, Unearthed Style
True to Unearthed form, this Mid Wheel Base build is fully equipped for off-grid travel. Three 180 watt solar panels feed into a robust power system built around a 460Ah custom lithium battery. A Redarc 3000 watt inverter and Redarc Manager 30 battery management system handle power seamlessly, incorporating DC charging, 240V charging, solar regulation, and battery monitoring.
Inside and out, lighting is generous and well considered. Internal LED downlights, reading lights, kitchen LEDs, bathroom lighting, and two external LED lights ensure visibility wherever and whenever you need it. USB-A, USB-C, and 240V power outlets keep all your devices charged and ready.
Entertainment and Everyday Practicality
Downtime is covered with a Fusion stereo system, internal and external speakers, and a 24 inch Engalon Smart TV for evenings in. Outside, a 3.2 metre Fiamma F80 awning creates instant shade, complemented by a picnic table for relaxed outdoor meals.
Water capacity is well balanced with a 110L fresh water tank, 40L grey water tank, mains water inlet, water tank gauge, and a reliable 12V water pump. A rear Anderson plug and 240V power inlet and outlet add further flexibility when plugging in or powering accessories.
